Update
The Local Immigration Partnership (LIP) is a federally funded initiative designed to strengthen service coordination and collaboration among local organizations to enhance newcomers’ settlement success. In Scarborough, this work was led by the Toronto East Quadrant Local Immigration Partnership (TEQ LIP), a dynamic community initiative that fostered collaboration among service providers, community groups, and stakeholders to improve the newcomer settlement experience.
As of March 2025, the LIP structure in Toronto has been reorganized due to changes in federal funding. Going forward, LIP work in Scarborough will continue under the North East Toronto Local Immigration Partnership.
